Birthday in Korea at Tea Angpang
It was my 29th birthday last week, and the second one I’ve celebrated here in Korea. The hubs and I went to 티앙팡 (Tea Angpang) for my birthday. It is located near 이대 (Edae), about five minutes from the subway station exit 3. The outside of the cafe actually says Afternoon Tea, but it is the same place. I’ve been looking for a cafe like this since I arrived in Korea. Since my husband and I both love tea, we thought this would be a fun place to go.
Right now it’s the middle of summer, so we ordered iced tea instead of hot tea. The hubby ordered iced chai tea and I ordered iced very very berry tea. In addition to tea, we also ordered some yummy scones. Each of our cups had a rose shaped ice inside. Both of the teas tasted great. They had just the right amount of sweet to them. The scones were delicious as well, and were served with butter and jam. We loved it so much, and are already planning to go back.
After we came home, my husband made me lunch…미역국 (miyeokguk). He did a great job, it was fantastic!
Later that night, we had pizza and cake. We ordered garlic potato pizza and roasted bulgogi pizza from PizzaGate, and the cake from Paris Baguette. Both of the pizzas were quite good, and the cake was good as well, except there was a surprise in the cake! We thought that it was just a chocolate cake, however there were peaches, pineapple, and coconut in the middle. While it tasted really good, I don’t think I care too much for fruit in my cake.
All in all, it was another great birthday here in Korea!
